Ten months ago I auditioned for Skylite Musicals 2016, I was so nervous that I barely remember what happened when I audition. I thought I did bad but then I got a line saying that I made into callback as Danila. I was deliriously happy and started to practice for the callback. After long excrutiating days of waiting, we finally got the announcement we’ve been waiting for, Skylite Musicals 2016’s Cast announcement. Thank god I got the part as Danila and It was officially one of the best day of my life. Fast forward, we started to have rehearsal every now and then. At first, it was fun and my schedule weren’t packed so it was kind of refreshing. But as it got closer to the show the rehearsals were as packed as a rock molecule.
For 8 months me and my friends worked harder than any prime minister in the whole world. Woke up at 5 am in the morning and got home at 10 pm. I was busier than any of my family member so it was pretty hard to make time for anything. We even had rehearsals during fasting and boy it was the hardest rehearsal ever. Throughout the skylite thing I got sick 2 weeks before the show. My body broke down and I couldn’t do anything, it was nightmare. But luckily I recovered quickly and I continue my endless days of rehearsal.
26th August 2016, was the most magical night ever. The D-DAY. I was suuuuuuuper nervous like really really nervous that I stopped talking which is totally weird for me. The stage was incredibly awesome, the lighting, the properties, basically everything was beyond my expectation. I felt like a celebrity because I got my makeup done by a professional makeup artist, I got treated the way an actress got treated. When me and my friends hit the stage it was as if there was no audience, just me and my friends acting like we usually did on the runthrus. The feeling on stage was incredible. All of our hard work paid off, it was worth all of the pain, the tiredness, and the drama. If I could re-live that day I would.
